There will be a Presentation by the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office in cooperation with the Glenwood Spring’s Police Department about: “Personal Safety for Young Children” and “Community Sex Offender Education”. The presentation in Glenwood will be made on Monday, July 29th, 2013 in the Board of County Commissioner’s Room at 108 Eighth Street and will begin at 6:15 PM. There will be sixty to eighty minute presentation followed by an opportunity for all attendees to ask questions.
Officers and Deputies will be present from the Glenwood Springs Police Department and the Sheriff’s Office as well as Victim Specialists and other knowledgeable personnel to field questions related to either of the evening’s topics.
A similar presentation will be made by the Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Rifle Annex at 106 County Road 333A by the Garfield County Airport. This program too will start at 6:15 PM and should conclude no later than 8:30 PM. This is an opportunity for the general public to learn more about these topics in our changing society and use that knowledge to keep our neighborhoods and our children safe.
