The Basalt High School’s Spring Musical production of Bye Bye Birdie will be presented on April 11th, 12th, and 13th at 7:00pm and April 14th at 2:00pm in the Basalt Middle School Auditorium. Bye Bye Birdie is one of the most captivating musical shows of our time. It is a satire done with the fondest affection, and tells the story of a rock and roll singer who is about to be inducted into the army. This fun, family-friendly show is sure to delight audiences with great music (“Put On A Happy Face,” “An English Teacher,” “A Lot of Livin’ To Do”), exciting choreography, and a captivating storyline. The cast features 30 cast members, plus 6 tech/set crew, including students from Basalt Elementary, Basalt Middle School, and 1 from Aspen High School and a special appearance by David Schmid, Basalt High School’s Principal. The show is directed and choreographed by John Goss (Glenwood Vaudeville Revue), with music direction by Katie Hone Wiltgen, and features a very talented cast of high school students. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students and can be purchased at the door. We hope to see you in the audience!
