Back by popular demand….The Carbondale Clay Center will host Cajun Clay Night 2012 this Friday, July 13th from 6-10 p.m. at 135 Main Street Carbondale. Come choose your local artist made ceramic bowl and eat delicious Chef David Stassi prepared gumbo, graze on Famous Salud Salad salad bar donated by Josh Tukman , appetizers donated by local restaurants, corn on the cob and cornbread. Kick up your heels and dance to The Steve Skinner Band. After dinner, devour the gator-licious, 8 foot alligator cake. Kids will enjoy face painting and a kids fair all included in the ticket price. There will be a cash bar, a costume contest and the crowning of the King (Steve Skinner) and Queen (Sandie Gardner) of Cajun Clay Night….The silent auction will feature art generously donated by James Surls, Mark Cesark, Bayard Hollins, Sally Cole and many many others. The auction will also feature a huge selection of local business items and gift certificates . All proceeds support the Carbondale Clay Center’s year round educational, gallery and outreach programming. Adult tickets are $45 in advance, $55 day of event.
