Meet at Carbondale Town Hall, 511 Colorado Avenue, Carbondale

Hop on your bike and join Carbondale’s Water Department staff on a ride to a town ditch head gate on the Crystal River near the fish hatchery bridge south of town. Then follow the ditch back into town learning about the unique complexities of the Town’s ditch system along the way with a stop at the ”three ring circus” ditch works site. Also learn the basics of Colorado prior appropriation water law. Bring your own bike and helmets are required. Appropriate for ages 12 years and older.
