May 4-18, 2012 Opening Reception: May 4, 6-8pm Gallery Exhibit: May 8-18, Tuesday-Thursday, 9am-5pm Free R2 Gallery CCAH Center for the Arts, 520 S. 3rd Street, Suite 9 Building community through art, the Carbondale Council on Arts & Humanities (CCAH) announces its annual May gallery exhibit opening, “Kids’ Art Show,” First Friday, May 4th, 6-8pm at the CCAH Center for the Arts, 520 S. 3rd Street, featuring art from students at all the Carbondale schools. Opening night will also celebrate student learning with demonstrations and exhibits throughout the Third Street Center. Traditional root beer floats will be served, and the free “Magic Art Bus” will transport guests to the exhibit. The exhibit will be up in the R2 Gallery from May 8-18, Tues-Fri, 9am-5pm. You don’t want to miss this opportunity to see what our local school art programs are all about.” The Carbondale Council on Arts and Humanities was formed in 1974 by a small, dedicated group of residents who wanted to promote the arts and artists in the Carbondale community.
