Their sound is a blend of oldtime mountain music and contemporary songwriting featuring the guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and banjo. Their songwriting is oriented to the American landscape, and one of their instrumentals was featured by Ken Burns in his PBS documentary “Our National Parks, Americas Best Idea,” and will also be included on Burns’ 2012 release “The Dust Bowl.” Their latest CD, “Big Mystery,” charted at #3 last fall on the national Folk-DJ list. The Robinsons are performing at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on Wednesday, November 7 at 7 p.m., at the Rifle Branch Library on Thursday, November 8 at 7 p.m., and at the Silt Branch Library on Tuesday, November 13 at 7 p.m.
