The Frontier Historical Society will hold its thirteenth annual Historic Ghost Walk through Linwood Cemetery in Glenwood Springs on Fridays & Saturdays October 12 & 13, October 19 & 20 and October 26 & 27. Tours each night will lead you up the hill to the old cemetery where costumed actors portray pioneers from Glenwood Springs’ past, including Doc Holliday and Kid Curry. Tours are at 7:00, 7:45, 8:30 and 9:15. Tours are limited to 30 people each and are recommended for children school age and up. Participants need to carry lanterns or flashlights for the moderately strenuous 1/3 mile hike up to the cemetery. Lanterns will be available for purchase for $10 before each tour. Please be advised that once up at the cemetery, the terrain is hilly and mildly strenuous. Please wear appropriate footwear and be prepared for possible inclement weather. Please do not attempt the hike if you have any type of physical limitations. Tickets are $15 per person for all ages. Frontier Historical Society members’ tickets are $10. Advance ticket purchase is highly recommended. Tickets will be available at the Frontier Historical Museum on Monday, October 1st. Tickets may be reserved with a Visa or MasterCard by calling the museum at (970) 945-4448. Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Sorry, but lost tickets cannot be honored. Late arrivals will be held back and may be allowed to join the following tour. Homemade cookies and hot apple cider will be served at the bottom of the hill after each tour. Please be advised that no flash photography or recording devices will be allowed during the performances. You may take photographs after each individual performance with the actor’s permission. The Ghost Walk is a fundraiser for the Frontier Historical Society and Museum. For more information, call the museum in Glenwood Springs at (970) 945-4448 or e-mail email@example.com.
