The Holiday season is full of anticipation and happiness for many. For others, it brings difficult emotions while facing cherished traditions that have been forever changed. The Glenwood Springs Chapter of HEARTBEAT – Support for Survivors After Suicide – is meeting Tuesday, December 13th, to address the unique challenges of the Holidays and to lend strength and ideas to each other during this season. HEARTBEAT is open to anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one through suicide – no matter how long ago. This peer group does not provide or replace therapy; it is simply a safe place where mutual support can be found with others who share this unique pain. HEARTBEAT meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm at the First United Methodist Church in Glenwood Springs. Use the Bethel Chapel entrance of the church located at 824 Cooper Street.
