a slideshow series presented by ACES, features Aspen locals or visitors sharing exciting accounts of world travel and adventure. The series, which includes ten presentations through March 12, runs at 7PM every Wednesday at Hallam Lake in Aspen. The series is free for ACES members and five dollars for non-members.
Potbelly Perspectives (named after the tradition of storytelling around the potbelly stove at Hallam Lake) gives our community the chance to share images and stories from meaningful trips around the world. This year’s series will explore places like Alaska, India, Spain, Africa, the Rocky Mountains, and more. Speakers include National Geographic photographer Pete McBride, mountaineer Janelle Smiley, and journalist Tim Mutrie. Potbelly Perspectives kicks off Wednesday in Aspen with “Ancient Shipwrecks and Submarine Volcanoes: Five Seasons of Ocean Exploration” by Sarah Fuller.
For complete schedules, and descriptions of each presentation please visit www.aspennature.org or www.wildernessworkshop.org/events.
Tea, donated by Two Leaves Tea Company, will be offered at all presentations.
