The Glenwood Springs Veterans Clinic, 2425 South Grand Avenue, will hold a special Flu Shot and Hepatitis C/HIV testing clinic Saturday, Sept. 15th, 8 – 11 a.m. Flu Shots: Flu shots are free to all Veterans, they do not have to be enrolled for care at the Glenwood Springs clinic to receive a flu shot. They only have to provide proof of service, such as a discharge papers. Hepatitis C/HIV Testing: Veterans must be enrolled for care with either the Glenwood Springs clinic or the Grand Junction VA Medical Center for these free tests. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the VA recommends that all adults should be tested for HIV and Hepatitis C as part of their routine medical care. Like many other diseases, the sooner HIV and Hepatitis C are diagnosed and treated the better the patients’ quality of life remains.
