Aspen, Colorado The Buddy Program announced today that it has received a $10,000 Daniels Fund grant to support the second annual Lemonade Day in the Roaring Fork Valley. Lemonade Day, held each year in cities across America, is an experiential learning program that teaches youth how to own and operate their own business a lemonade stand. “The grant will enable us to grow Lemonade Day. Last year we had 394 participants from grades K-12. This year our goal is to reach 1,000 children from Aspen to Glenwood Springs,² said Heather Hicks, Lemonade Day Director. Bill Daniels, a pioneer in cable television known for his kindness and generosity to those in need, established the Daniels Fund to provide grants and scholarships in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. Participant sign up with a caring adult and will receive a backpack that contains both an entrepreneur and mentor workbook.
