The Carbondale Branch Library offers a special weekly storytime every Monday at 4 p.m. that is full of songs, stories, and more for all ages. Musical storytime is led by our award-winning children’s musician, Sue Schnitzer. Other Storytimes are Tuesday (preschooler), Wednesday (bilingual) and Thursday (toddlers and infants) at 10:30 a.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. November 6, and every first and third Monday at 6 p.m., is ukulele night at the Carbondale Branch Library for beginners through experts ages 9 and up. Each session features a sing along, a short lesson, and a jam session. Non-ukers are welcome to sit in, and some extra ukuleles and rhythm instruments are available. The monthly Carbondale Branch Library’s Writers’ Group at 6:30 p.m. on November 11 and every second Monday offers a supportive environment for writers of all genres and ages, from the novice to the experienced, both teen and adult. Attendees will have the opportunity to share and explore their writing, their peers’ writing, and writing in general.
