The Glenwood Springs Historical Society is temporarily expanding to the Summit Canyon Mountaineering building, with an exhibit all about Doc Holliday. They have purchased a historical Derringer, possibly belonging to Doc Holliday. There will be a sneak preview for members of the Historical Society on August 11th, including music, refreshments and a live auction. They will be auctioning off a print of a fire on Red Mountain from 1940, appraised at $60,000, partially benefitting the Historical Society. The exhibit will have a Grand Opening for the public on August 12th, and there will be refreshments.
