Alleged Westbank Gunman Advised of Charges

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) – Garfield County deputies have arrested a 61-year-old man who held deputies at bay for about three hours after firing shots at a deputy who came to check on him.

Craig Dance was arrested on last night after authorities contacted him by phone and convinced him to surrender.

Dance is charged with Attempted Murder of a Police Officer and Felony First Degree Assault, along with several misdemeanors. No reason for the standoff was given and no injuries were reported.
