GARCO BOARD WITHDRAWS INTERVENTION

NO MORE COUNTY INTERVENTION. DURING A SPECIAL MEETING TODAY DEALING WITH THE DISPUTE BETWEEN SILT MESA RESIDENTS AND ANTERO RESOURCES’ GAS DRILLING PLANS, A SETTLEMENT WAS REACHED. ANTERO AGREED TO TAKE TEN ACRE DOWNHOLE SPACING OFF THE TABLE AND THE GARFIELD COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS UNANIMOUSLY AGREED TO WITHDRAW IT’S INTERVENTION. COMMISSIONER MIKE SAMSON SAYS HE REALIZES NOT EVERYONE IS GOING TO
BE HAPPY BUT IT’S TIME TO MOVE FORWARD.
A HANDFUL OF SILT MESA RESIDENTS THAT WERE ABLE TO ATTEND TODAY’S SPECIAL MEETING EXPRESSED SOME DOUBT ABOUT ANTERO’S FUTURE PLANS BUT SAY THEY’RE HOPEFUL THAT THE COMPANY WILL CONTINUE TO LISTEN TO THEIR CONCERNS.
