DURANGO, Colo. (AP) – Democratic Gov. John Hickenlooper is touring Colorado to promote an economic initiative he unveiled last week that aims to help the state recover from the recession.
Hickenlooper is visiting businesses in Durango, Grand Junction and Hayden on Friday to talk about his “Colorado Blueprint” plan. It outlines dozens of goals for Colorado government leaders to reach on business regulation, increasing tourism and work force education.
The plan was one of Hickenlooper’s most prominent promises during his campaign for governor last year. Colorado’s 64 counties participated in formulating the economic plan.
