Glenwood Springs–Garfield County Commissioners voted 2 to 1 to approve the River Edge Colorado residential development. The approval came with several conditions. Developers aim to build over 360 homes covering more than 160 acres between Glenwood Springs and Carbondale.

Aspen–The future plans for managing public lands in Colorado will be discussed d by the BLM and the Pitkin County Board of Commissioners next month. The public meeting will be held, December 8th at the El Jebel Community Center.

Denver–Unemployment figures in Colorado remained unchanged from September to October at 7.7 percent. Jobless figures in the resort communities were slightly worse.

Schriever Air Force Base–Investigators at Schriever Air Force Base near Colorado Springs are trying to find out how an airman managed to get his own handgun onto the base where he barricaded himself yesterday for nearly 12 hours.
