CDOT CREWS WORKING TO CLEAR SNOW PACK ON I-70
GLENWOOD SPRINGS TO SILT
GLENWOOD SPRINGS — Maintenance crews from the Colorado Department of Transportation’s (CDOT’s) Glenwood Springs facility will be out on I-70 this morning working to clear the snow packed portions of the highway from Glenwood Springs (MM 116) to Silt (MM 97) in both directions.
Motorists can expect to see several plow trucks, motor graders, attenuator trucks and trucks with message boards on I-70. Drivers should be reminded to take it slow and steady as they come upon our crews.
Throughout the region, icy conditions should be expected due to below-freezing temperatures and travelers should plan for winter driving conditions. Motorists are advised that bridges, overpasses and ramps will freeze first and should remember “Ice and Snow, Take It Slow.”
Motorists can call 511 or visit www.cotrip.org for current road condition information across the state.
