TOWN OF CARBONDALE

Overhead Utility Undergrounding Project

On Monday, October 21, 2013, Gould Construction will begin undergrounding the overhead utilities at the intersection of Main Street and SH 133. Xcel Energy, Century Link, Cedar Networks, and Comcast along with the Town of Carbondale’s Water Department will be partners on this project.

Gould Construction will have two crews working simultaneously on different phases of this project. Phase 1a will initiate the water main replacement project and will begin on the east side of SH 133 at Sopris Liquor and Wine’s driveway and proceed north toward Main Street. Phase 1b will begin on the north side of Main Street across from Hendricks’s Road and will proceed east toward the Seven Eleven Store. On Monday, please access Sopris Liquor and Wine, Gandhi Restaurant, Subway, Casual Culture and La Perla from Main Street. Access to Seven Eleven will be maintained at all times.

At some point in time, Main Street will be closed for two days as will Colorado Avenue (not at the same time). Additional phases are to follow and we will keep you informed.
