Buffs First Season in the PAC-12 Will be a Tough One

ERIE, Colo. (AP) – Colorado athletic director Mike Bohn has assembled one of the most demanding schedules in the country.

He doesn’t plan on doing that again anytime soon.

Sure, Bohn believes first-year coach Jon Embree and his players can handle what many publications are calling the toughest slate of games in college football. But to build up the program, Bohn may need to ramp down such an arduous schedule, especially with the Buffaloes starting play in the high-powered Pac-12 Conference this fall.

The Buffs will open the season in Hawaii before facing California in a nonleague game. They’ll also play Colorado State in Denver and travel to Ohio State.

After all that, they’ll embark on a difficult conference schedule that includes a visit from Oregon, who lost in the title game last season.
