THE GLENWOOD DEMONS AND THE ROARING FORK RAMS GIRL’S AND BOY’S TEAMS TIPPED OFF THE 10-11 SEASON. IN THE GIRLS VARSITY CONTEST, THE LADY DEMONS, LED BY SENIOR CAPTAIN AND FOUR
YEAR STARTING POINT GUARD, KENZIE KUHN CRUISED PAST ROARING FORK 65-21. KUHN LED ALL SCORERS WITH 16 POINTS. CONNOR ADAMS AND DELANEY GADDIS SCORED 13 A PIECE MEGAN GIANNETTI LED THE LADY RAMS SCORING WITH 6 POINTS.

IN THE BOY’S GAME, IT WAS A TOUGH DEBUT FOR NEW
GLENWOOD HEAD COACH CORY HITCHCOCK. THE DEMONS LOST TO THE RAMS, 57-54. GLENWOOD TRAILED BY AS MANY AS 12 POINTS BUT FOUGHT BACK LATE IN THE FOURTH QUARTER AND NEARLY SENT THE GAME INTO OVERTIME BUT CAME UP SHORT. SENIOR KEVIN FLOHR “K-2”, LED ALL SCORERS WITH 28 POINTS, INCLUDING A HALF DOZEN FROM BEYOND THE ARC. THE RAMS WERE LED BY DALTON HANDY AND DAKOTAH GRETT WHO SCORED 12 POINTS EACH. THE RAMS ALSO GOT 10 POINTS FROM SOPHOMORE BIG MAN, TRAE MOXLEY. THE DEMONS WILL PLAY THEIR FINAL GAMES OF THE TOURNAMENT AGAINST BASALT THIS AFTERNOON. THE LADY DEMONS TIP OFF AT 3:30 AND
THE BOYS WILL FOLLOW AT 5. TONIGHT AT 6:30, THE ROARING FORK LADY RAMS WILL TAKE ON STEAMBOAT SPRINGS….THE BOYS WILL PLAY AT 8. THE BRENDA PATCH TOURNAMENT WRAPS UP TOMORROW.

SENIORS NICK CIANI AND WILLY PELLAND ARE PREPARING, ALONG WITH THE REST OF THE TEAM FOR TOMORROW’S 3A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP SHOWDOWN WITH THE TOP RANKED AND UNDEFEATED ELIZABETH CARDINALS AT LEGACY
STADIUM IN AURORA. KICK OFF IS SET FOR 2:30 WITH PRE-GAME COVERAGE BEGINNING AT 1:45 ON KMTS, KMTS.COM AND A LIVE WEBCAST ON BEARDTV.COM.
