Aspen beat Basalt 47-29. Hotchkiss defeated Cedaredge 54-39. Tonight the at 6, the Rifle Lady Bears host Hotchkiss , Coal Ridge travels to Grand Valley, Aspen travels to Olathe and Roaring Fork welcomes Gunnison.

Boys 3A District Play In Games

Rifle clobbered Basalt 86-31 while Cedaredge got past Gunnison 70-61.

Boys 4A State Playoffs

winning streak but failed to make up ground on Western Conference
leader Oklahoma City. The second-place Spurs beat the Utah Jazz
106-102 for their 11th-straight win, and the Thunder maintained
their two-game cushion with a 101-093 victory over the last-place
New Orleans Hornets.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – The No. 1 pick of the 2007 NBA draft has
suffered another setback with his troublesome knees. Portland Trail
Blazers center Greg Oden is done for the season after undergoing
microfracture surgery on his left knee for the second time in his
career. He’s had the same procedure on his right knee as well.

PHOENIX (AP) – The Oakland Athletics are the latest team taking
a chance on Manny Ramirez, signing the veteran slugger to a minor
league contract that will pay him about a-half million bucks if he
makes the big league roster. The 12-time All-Star is due to serve a
50-game suspension for his second positive drug test before he can
play for the A’s.

NEW YORK (AP) – A day after trading A.J. Burnett, the New York
Yankees used some of the salary they saved to add Raul Ibanez
(rah-OOL’ ih-BAHN’-yehz) as their left-handed designated hitter. He
gets a one-year for $1.1 million and could collect up to $2.9 in
performance-bonus money.

UNDATED (AP) – Kentucky maintains its solid grip on the top spot
in the men’s AP college basketball poll while Baylor continues its
ride as a unanimous No. 1 in the women’s rankings. Both will be in
action tonight. The Wildcats are at Mississippi State and the Lady
Bears host Texas.
