HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL 3A REGIONAL PLAYOFFS
Denver–The Rifle Lady Bears and the Roaring Fork Lady Rams will play in sub-regional games tonight at Bruce Randolph High School in Denver. The Lady Bears take on Middle Park at 5:30 while Roaring Fork will battle Denver School of Science and Technology at 7. Both games will be broadcast live on KMTS and KMTS.com. College Basketball
The CU Buffs men’s team fell to Oregon last night in Eugene, 90-81. The Lady Buffs also lost to the Ducks, 64-62.

The Denver Nuggets are in Houston tonight taking on the Rockets.
NHL
The Avs were shutout at home by the Columbus Blue Jackets 2-zip. They host the Pittsburgh Penguins tomorrow night.

UNDATED (AP) – Oklahoma City picked up its 29th victory of the
season last night with a 105-102 win over the Magic in Orlando. The
Thunder roared back from a 14-point second-half deficit to get the
win. They were led by Kevin Durant’s 38 points. Another of the
league’s top teams picked up its ninth straight win as Miami beat
the Blazers in Portland, 197-93.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) – Kentucky, the No. 1 team in the AP men’s
basketball poll, racked up its 29th win of the season last night,
beating Georgia 79-49. The Wildcats have won 52 straight home
games.
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (AP) – The second round of the PGA’s
Honda Classic is being played today in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. The
leader after the first day of play was Davis Love III, who shot a
course tying 6-under- 64. His round included an ace and five
birdies.
NEW YORK (AP) – There’s still no word on the possibility of
extended playoffs in baseball. Negotiators for the players and
owners continue to meet in New York to determine if two teams can
be added for this season.
PITTSBURGH (AP) – Pirates pitcher A.J. Burnett is undergoing
surgery today to repair a fractured right orbital bone. The veteran
pitcher was hurt Wednesday when a ball he attempted to bunt hit him
near the right eye.
