Rifle–The 4th seeded Rifle Bears host the number 5 Windsor Wizards tomorrow afternoon at 1 in a quarterfinal game. The winner will move on to face the winner of the D’Evelyn/Frederick game in the semifinals next week.

Denver–The Denver Broncos came from behind to shock the New York Jets las last night at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium, 17 to 13. Quarterback Tim Tebow capped off a 95 yard, game-winning drive in the 4th quarter with a 20 yard run. The Broncos battle the Chargers in San Diego on the 27th.

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) – Oklahoma State’s president is calling
on the campus to pull together as a family as the university
grieves the loss of the women’s basketball team’s head coach and
his assistant. President Burns Hargis told reporters on Friday that the school
does not know the cause of the crash. Head coach Kurt Budke
(‘BUD-kee) and assistant coach Miranda Serna were killed when the
single-engine plane they were riding in during a recruiting trip
crashed Thursday night in central Arkansas.
Hargis says their deaths are the university’s “worst
nightmare” and he asks the community to come together during this
tragic time.
NEW YORK (AP) – L.A. Dodgers lefty Clayton Kershaw is an easy
winner of the N.L. Cy Young Award after leading the league in ERA
and strikeouts and tying for the league lead with 21 wins. Last
year’s winner, Roy Halladay of the Phillies, is this year’s
runner-up.

CHICAGO (AP) – Dale Sveum (swaym) has been hired to manage the
Chicago Cubs, filling the void left when Mike Quade (KWAH’-dee) was
let go after the season The Cubbies finished 71-91, extending their
infamous championship drought to 103 seasons.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) – Just two weeks after Penn State was rocked
by a child sex-abuse scandal, Syracuse police say they were
investigating child molesting allegations against a longtime
assistant basketball coach at Syracuse University. The school has
placed Bernie Fine on administrative leave. ESPN reports that the
accusations come from two former ball boys for the Orange. Fine
vehemently denies the allegations.

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) – Captain’s pick Tiger Woods has yet
to win a point, but Fred Couples’ U.S. team holds a 7-5 lead over
Greg Norman’s Internationals after the opening two days of the
Presidents Cup in Australia. Woods dropped to 0-2 at Royal
Melbourne with today’s loss in four-ball play
