San Diego, CA–Once again, in dramatic, come-from-behind fashion, the Denver Broncos found a way to win a game. Sunday in San Diego, the Broncos beat the Chargers in overtime, 16 to 13. Matt Prater drilled a 37 yard field goal with 29 seconds left in the extra period to win their fifth in a row and improve to 6 and 5 on the season.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – Urban Meyer’s now former employer says he
is getting back in the coaching business after a year as a college
football analyst. ESPN is reporting that Meyer, a two time BCS
title winner at Florida before leaving Gainesville a year ago, has
been hired by Ohio State.

WASHINGTON (AP) – The NHL’s Capitals announced this morning that
they’ve fired coach Bruce Boudreau (boo-DROH’) and are replacing
him with former Caps star Dale Hunter. Despite a talented lineup
that includes two-time league MVP Alex Ovechkin (oh-VECH’-kin),
Washington has lost six of eight and has fallen to eighth place in
the Eastern Conference standings.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) – After 36 years as an assistant basketball
coach at his alma mater, Bernie Fine has been fired by Syracuse
University in the wake of a third allegation of child molestation.
Orange coach Jim Boeheim (BAY’-hym) says he agrees with the
school’s decision.

UNDATED (AP) – LSU and Alabama are still 1-2 in the AP poll and
BCS standings, and appear headed for a rematch in the championship
game. The Tigers beat the Crimson Tide 9-6 in overtime earlier this
