Aspen–Ski season is officially over in Aspen. Officials with Skico hoped to stay open ’till July 4th but the snow is melting too fast. Ajax Mountain was able to open for Memorial Day weekend and last weekend with decent snow conditions.
Aspen–Aspen will host a World Cup skiing event next season along with Beaver Creek and Telluride. The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association made the announcement yesterday. Deer Valley in Utah will host the World Cup freestyle events.
San Diego, CA–The Rockies got out of San Diego yesterday taking 2 out of 3 games from the Padres. Troy Tulowitzki had three hits and three RBI as the Rockies beat the Padres 5 to 3. The Rockies are home tonight for the first of a four-game series with the Dodgers.

night on the Canucks’ home ice.
DALLAS (AP) – The Dallas Mavericks will be playing at home for
the last time this season tonight when they host Miami for Game 5
of a best-of-seven NBA Finals that’s tied at 2-2. Game 6 will be
played on the Heat’s home court, as will Game 7, if necessary.
ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) – A perfectly executed squeeze bunt by Reid
Brignac (BRIHN’-yak) in the 10th inning lifted Tampa Bay to a 4-3
victory over the L.A. Angels. After blowing a three-run lead, the
Rays bounced back to complete their first-ever three-game sweep in
Anaheim.
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – The Saskatchewan Roughriders have acquired
the negotiating rights to Terrelle Pryor and have spoken to Pryor’s
lawyer about bringing the former Ohio State quarterback to the
Canadian Football League. Pryor’s attorney, Larry James, says the
CFL is a genuine possibility for the ex-Buckeye.
WIMBLEDON, England (AP) – Once ranked as high as No. 4 in the
world, James Blake has fallen out of the top 100 in the tennis
rankings. Nevertheless, he’s getting a chance to play at Wimbledon.
The American is one of three players given entries to the men’s
draw at the All England Club following a trio of withdrawals.
