This Saturday night, Backstreet Boys join Florida Georgia LineNelly and Chris Lane on the Smooth Tour. After his set at Target Field in Minneapolis, Chris is looking forward to venturing into the crowd and enjoying the show.

“I’m a huge Backstreet Boys fan,” he says. “I mean, I always have been. They know that at this point!” Chris laughs. “I’ve told them plenty of times.”

“But my goal for the big stadium shows,” he continues, “I’m gonna do my set, I’m gonna give it everything I’ve got, I’m gonna kick it off in the right way every single night. And then I’m gonna put on a different outfit, whatever I need to do, I’m gonna go into the pit and I’m gonna have the time of my life for the rest of the evening.”

Chris is actually such a BSB superfan that he’s going to have to alter his set for the stadium shows with the band.

“I actually do a Backstreet Boys’ song,” the “Fix” hitmaker says. “It’s the start of a medley. I do ‘I Want It That Way’ and people always say something about that part of the set. They love it. I mean, everybody loves a good throwback, right?… But I’m actually gonna have to change it up at that point, because I can’t do one of their songs!” he laughs.

Thursday night, FGL, Nelly and Chris play BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Chris’s latest single, “For Her,” is just one step away from country’s top 15.
