Miranda Lambert showed the world she’s definitely Anderson East’s “girl” this week in Los Angeles. The six-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year had been waiting in the wings while Anderson played his sold-out show opening for Chris Stapleton at L.A.’s Greek Theatre on Wednesday — until the Traveller hitmaker spilled the beans, that is.
“She’s gonna kill me,” he apologized, after calling Miranda onstage to join Anderson for their duet on The Temptations‘ “My Girl.” All was apparently forgiven, though, as Miranda jumped in, adding background vocals and impromptu choreography wiith Chris’s wife Morgane. You can check out the superstar couple’s collaboration in a video now posted to YouTube.
This isn’t Miranda’s first time to join her boyfriend onstage, having dueted on Mariah Carey’s “Always Be My Baby” during his Valentine’s Day show, according to Billboard.
