Dierks Bentley currently has two locations of his bar and restaurant, Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row, in his home state of Arizona. A third location is slated to open in Chicago in 2016. Though he’d like to expand the franchise further, Dierks is treading cautiously.
He tells the Cincinnati Enquirer, “What do they say, it’s like four out of five new bars and restaurants close. It’s a tough business to be in. I’m trying to be selective about the places we go.”
If you do hit up Whiskey Row, Dierks warns that you shouldn’t expect a nice, quiet atmosphere.
“Our place, we’ve got a DJ booth. The guy’s dropping Def Leppard in the middle of country songs,” Dierks explains. “To the purists out there, it’s not where you want to go, but it’s not who we’re catering to. It’s a lot of 20-something-year-olds, at night at least.”
