Dolly Parton Clears Up Hillary Clinton Rumors, Taking on the Election with her Trademark Humor

Webster Public Relations

With reports of Dolly Parton’s alleged endorsement of Hillary Clinton all over Facebook and in the media, on Tuesday, the entertainment icon herself decided to set the record straight.

“My comment about supporting a woman in the White House was taken out of context,” Dolly said. “I have not endorsed Hillary Clinton nor Donald Trump. I try not to get political, but if I am, I might as well just run myself,” she joked,” ‘cause I’ve got the hair for it, it’s huge, and they could always use more boobs in the race. But seriously, I have not decided who I’m voting for, but no matter what we’re gonna be suffering from PMS — Presidential Mood Swings.”

Now that she’s clarified her stance on the upcoming election, Dolly can get back to the business at hand. She kicks off the second part of her summer tour July 19 in Cedar Rapids Iowa, with her new album Pure & Simple with Dolly’s Biggest Hits to follow later this summer.
