The late John Lennon would have been 75 this past October, and to mark that milestone, AMC will air an all-star special December 19 called Imagine: John Lennon 75th Birthday Concert.
Eric Church, Willie Nelson, Chris Stapleton and Kris Kristofferson are among the performers on the bill for the show, which will be recorded December 5 in New York City and air December 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Others participating include rock icon Peter Frampton, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Sheryl Crow, Train‘s Pat Monahan, and “Wake Me Up” singer Aloe Blacc.
In a statement, Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono said, “It’s beautiful to see so many wonderful and talented musicians come together for this special show to celebrate John’s birthday.”
She added, “John’s art continues to give hope, light and happiness to generations of people everywhere. His belief that each of us can change the world continues to inspire the human race to believe in themselves, and his influence is everlasting in everyone’s hearts as we all share in the possibilities and power of music.”
You can buy tickets to the show starting November 17 at 9 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster.
