George Strait Announcing Plans for Run of Las Vegas Shows

MCA

George Strait hosted a press conference in Las Vegas Tuesday to announce plans for his upcoming run of shows in Sin City.

The shows will take place at the brand-new 19,000 seat Las Vegas Arena starting April 22 and 23 and continuing September 9 and 10, 2016. Kacey Musgraves has been announced as the opening act for the Vegas dates.

Though George retired from keeping a regular touring schedule after his The Cowboy Rides Away tour closed out last year, he always reserved the right to play special shows like these Vegas dates.

George says, “It’s going to be exciting for us to get back out there again. I’m looking forward to singing those songs that I love so much. You know, haven’t done ’em in a long time.”

He’s also announced plans to release a brand-new album this Friday. It’s title Cold Beer Conversation and will be available exclusively at Walmart and Apple Music. The title track will go to country radio as the lead single from the project on Wednesday.

George says of the new project, “I think it’s a great record. I always say this, I think it’s one of the best records I’ve done. I always shoot for that.”

Here is the track listing for Cold Beer Conversation:
“It Was Love”
