Jake Owen Parks “American Love” at Number One

RCA Nashville

Jake Owen has driven the love bus all the way to number one. That’s the nickname the Florida native gave the 1966 Volkswagen van that’s pictured on the front of his new record. This week, his fifth album is parked at the top of the charts.

“What an awesome feeling to wake up and find out that American Love is the number-one country album. And I can’t believe that it debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 chart. That’s a first for me and I’m so pumped about that,” Jake says of his most successful effort yet on the all-genre chart. “I poured my heart and soul into making this album and I’m thrilled to know that people like it. We are forging ahead on this great journey. I love that so many people are on this path with me.”

The “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” hitmaker launched the album’s lead single with a road trip in his beloved van. “American Country Love Song” currently sits at number six and climbing on the singles chart.
