Life Imitates Art as the Stars of ABC’s “Nashville” Play the Bluebird Cafe

It was life imitating art this past weekend at the Bluebird Café,  as the actors who portray Gunnar Scott and Will Lexington on ABC’s Nashville showed up to do a real-life show at Music City’s most famous singer/songwriter venue. Sam Palladio and Chris Carmack both took their turns as they played in-the-round with Chris’s producer Phoenix Mendoza and songwriter Travis Meadows, who wrote “Riser” for Dierks Bentley and Jake Owens’ “What We Ain’t Got.” The night was a benefit for Musicians Corner, a program that gives emerging artists a place to play in Nashville’s Centennial Park.

Carmack focused on songs from his new EP, Pieces of You, which he produced along with Mendoza. Chris heads out on the Nashville in Concert tour of the United States this spring, with Sam joining his castmates on their dates in the United Kingdom . You can catch new episodes of Nashville Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
