Luke Bryan is teaming up with Target to write songs specifically about you. All day Thursday, Luke is activating the “LukeBox” and writing and recording personalized songs using details from his fans submitted via social media. Follow Luke on Twitter at @LukeBryanOnline and the use the hashtag #LukeBox to request your personalized song, and check out what he’s singing about others.
Luke’s impromptu songs are now rolling in with one written specifically for his friends, Little Big Town. The band tweeted Luke asking if he remembered when LBT’s Jimi Westbrook backed a golf cart into Luke’s tour bus during CMA Music Festival. Luke responded with a song about a “little big dent on his tour bus.”
Luke wrote another song for his one-time duet partner, Lionel Richie, who asked Luke to sing about the first time they were introduced in Nashville. Luke has sent out additional songs to his pal Willie Robertson from Duck Dynasty and quite a few fans.
Luke’s new album, Kill the Lights, is out Friday. He’s also releasing a deluxe version of the project with three bonus tracks exclusively at Target. Luke is promoting the new album with a performance on ABC’s Good Morning America Friday.
