The Band Perry was boarding a plane to Europe to participate in Celebrity Fight Night in Italy when they found out about their CMA Vocal Group of the Year nomination.
Reacting to the good news, the group said from the airport Wednesday, “We were so thrilled to hear about our CMA nomination and are grateful to be recognized by our musical peers. It’s hard to believe it will be our 6th trip to the CMA Awards!”
The Celebrity Fight Night in Italy event is a seven-day affair in Tuscany hosted by tenor Andrea Bocelli. Reba, Tony Bennett, Ronnie Dunn and Sharon Stone are among the other celebrities participating in the event to raise money for Andrea’s foundation, as well as the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center in Phoenix.
