Thomas Rhett heads into the Christmas holiday with the most-played song at country radio, according to Billboard. The magazine ranks “Die a Happy Man” #1 on its Country Airplay chart, just as the Recording Industry Association of America certifies the song platinum, for having sold the equivalent of a million copies, factoring in streaming.

“It’s been really cool to see a song that is so personal to me and Lauren become something so many other people can relate to,” he says, mentioning his wife, who also appears in the music video. “This year has been wild and I can’t really think of a better way to close it out.”

Earlier this month, Thomas closed out his first headlining tour with Brett Eldredge in Chicago. He joins Jason Aldean and A Thousand Horses for the We Were Here tour January 14 in Moline, Illinois.
