Zac Brown Band’s “Homegrown” is the most-heard country song of 2015, according to year-end rankings by Country Airplay/Mediabase. Even though ZBB claims song honors, they lose out on top duo or group, coming in at number two behind Florida Georgia Line.
It was undeniably a good year for CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan, who is both the top artist in the format overall and the top male vocalist, according to radio airplay. He clocked three number ones and spent five weeks at number one, with “I See You” checking in as the fourth most-played song in 2015.
Carrie Underwood is the number one female vocalist of the year, an honor she last claimed in 2010. She finishes just ahead of newcomers Kelsea Ballerini and Cam. Kelsea also ends the year as country’s top new artist of 2015.
