Community Conversations: Living with Bears at the New Castle Branch Community Center
March 1 @ 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Join your Garfield County Libraries, Town of New Castle, and Colorado Parks & Wildlife as we come together for three conversations on how we can live alongside bears. On Wednesday, March 1 we will discuss what makes bears tick, what they are interested in, and how bears go about their lives. On Wednesday, March 22 you can learn what we can do to deter bears from coming too close as well as how to keep ourselves, our pets, and the bears safe. And, on Wednesday, April 19 we’ll discuss what to do when you meet a bear. All three events will be held at the New Castle Community Center at 6 pm and are free and open to all. If you have any questions you would like addressed at these meetings please send them at least a week in advance to Caitlin Carey at ccarey@newcastlecolorado.org.
