Your Garfield County Libraries, Garfield County Public Health, and Cooking Matters are helping end childhood hunger by inspiring families to make healthy, affordable food choices. Learn to shop for and cook healthy meals on a budget during a series of free virtual classes. Successfully complete this online series and a survey to receive a $10 grocery gift card and a copy of the cookbook “Good and Cheap: Eat Well on $4 per Day.” The first class featuring recipes will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, Oct. 6. The second class will discuss food storage and kitchen safety at 10 am on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Finally, the last class “kids in the kitchen” will take place at 10 am on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Register and participate in one or all of the classes at www.gcpld.org/cooking-matters.
