Rifle—The Rifle Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a man who tried to kidnap a minor child early Wednesday morning in near the corner of 4th Street and West Avenue. Authorities say the child fought off the man and got away. Right now the only information investigators have on the suspect is he was wearing dark clothing. Police are asking citizens to report anything that looked suspicious either Wednesday morning or the day before.
