Edwards CMC Office Burglarized

The Eagle County Sheriff\’s Office is seeking the public\’s
assistance in identifying the suspect involved in a burglary that took place
sometime between the evening of Tuesday July 26th and Wednesday morning July
27th at Colorado Mountain College, located at 150 Miller Ranch Road in Edwards.

The suspect used tools to gain entry to a safe and took an
undisclosed amount of cash. This is the second burglary of a safe at Colorado
Mountain College in the last eight months.

The Eagle County Sheriff\’s Office would like to remind
residents and businesses that burglary is a crime of opportunity and is not a
sophisticated crime. Burglars do not choose victims, they choose
opportunities. Deterring a criminal starts with having solid exterior doors and
windows with quality locks, equally important is remembering to keep doors and
windows locked. Visible security devices, such as alarm systems and video
surveillance, also act as a deterrent because the devices increase the
possibility of the intruder being seen and apprehended

If you think you may have any information about the suspect
of these crimes, please call the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office at (970) 328-8500
or Eagle County Crime Stoppers at 970-328-7007, 1-800-962-TIPS, submit your tip

and indictment of any suspect involved, you could earn up to a $1,000 reward
