Junior Achievement (JA) of the Roaring Fork Valley works with local businesses and organizations to match volunteers with local classrooms to teach programs on the topics of financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship to students in kindergarten through high school.
Glenwood Springs teachers need volunteers who have just 30 minutes per week to spare…our elementary level programs are only five sessions, once per week for 30 minutes. JA provides the program kit with all the necessary materials and a volunteer guidebook, so all you need is the willingness to share your work experience with local students!

Marisa Mills’ Kindergarten class at Sopris Elementary – Tues, Wed or Thurs from 2:45-3:15pm
Cindy Pittenger’s 4th grade class at Sopris Elementary – any day, between 12:30 and 1:30 or 2:15 and 3:30pm
Jackie Tergeoglou’s Kindergarten class at Sopris Elementary – any day 1-1:30 or 1:25-1:55pm
Samantha Hawk’s 2nd grade class at Sopris Elementary – Tues or Thurs 2:30-3:15pm
Erica Lehmkuhl’s 2nd grade class at Sopris Elementary – Tues or Thurs 2:30-3:15pm
Courtney Jaynes’ 2nd grade class at Crystal River Elementary (Carbondale) – Mon, Tues, Wed or Fri at 1:30pm
