Glenwood Springs police are asking for the public’s help in finding a hit-and-run driver who fled from a head-on accident in West Glenwood last weekend that sent two people to the hospital in serious condition.
Investigators say that a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling east on Highway 6 just after 9:30 Sunday night when it hit a westbound vehicle head-on near Center Drive. Two people in the car – a 24-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman – were taken to Valley View Hospital with traumatic injuries.
The driver of the pickup fled the scene on foot, and police have not yet been able to pinpoint a suspect. Anyone with information about the accident is being asked to get in touch with the police department as soon as possible.
