House Committee Hearing on the Bureau of Land Management Move to Grand Junction

DENVER (AP) – Congressional Democrats questioned Trump administration officials on the plan to move the headquarters of the Bureau of Land Management from Washington, D.C. to Grand Junction. The House Natural Resources Committee held a hearing in nation’s capitol today. The administration says moving the BLM to the west will lead to better decisions because that’s where most U.S. public lands are. Some Democrats say it will make the agency vulnerable to special interests.
