Final update (6:00 PM): I-70 is open in both directions between exit 87 (west Rifle) and exit 133 (Dotsero).
Update (5:30 PM): The warning from the National Weather Service has expired, however i-70 will remain closed due to continued heavy rain and potential for flash flooding in Glenwood Canyon. (Headline updated to reflect expanded closure.)
Update (4:00 PM): the eastbound closure has now been moved to the west Rifle exit (87).
Update (3:45 PM): The eastbound closure has been moved to exit 109 (Canyon Creek).
I-70 is closed, all lanes, both directions between the main Glenwood exit to Dotsero due to a Flash Flood Warning from the National Weather Service.
There is no estimate for when the road will be reopened, but it is likely the eastbound closure will be moved to the west Rifle exit soon.
