2:25 PM Update: The fire has been declared under control. Evacuations should be lifted soon.
Less than an hour after fire crews were called to a wildfire at the Lake Christine Wildlife Area, immediate evacuations are being ordered for residents of “The Wilds” Subdivision and Promontory Lane.
Eyewitnesses on scene report the fire is currently about one acre in size, with resources called in from several different agencies and State Troopers aiding in evacuations.
