John Bowlen Arrest Warrant

Legal problems are stacking up for John Bowlen, the son of Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen, following his arrest for drunken driving in California this past weekend – he’s facing trouble back here at home too.

On Tuesday, an Arapahoe County Judge issued another arrest warrant for Bowlen, saying that the arrest in California constitutes a violation of his probation in a 2015 domestic violence case.

The 31-year-old Bowlen, a former team staffer for the Broncos, was arrested Sunday in San Luis Obispo County after allegedly driving more than 100 mph and weaving through traffic on US Highway 101. He was arrested on two misdemeanor drunken driving charges, and officals say he had an open alcoholic drink in the car.

Although Bowlen posted $5,000 bail after his arrest, the incident may land him behind bars in Colorado for violating the terms of his conviction following an incident in 2015 in which Bowlen shoved his girlfriend against a bathroom wall as she was attempting to call 9-1-1 after Bowlen made comments about killing someone.

Bowlen’s attorney has not yet issued any statements about the incident. The Broncos have had no comment on the situation, saying it’s a “personal” matter.
