Music on the Mountain at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park Resumes Aug. 9 with Fifty50

Glenwood Springs, Colo. (July 31, 2014) — Music on the Mountain, the mountain-top concert series at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, resumes on Sat., Aug. 9, with classic rock band Fifty50. Guests can ride the tram or bus free from the floor of the Roaring Fork Valley with the donation of a canned food item for the LiftUp community food pantry. Guests have donated 34,606 cans of food since the concert series began in 2009, including 3,435 cans so far in 2014.

Fifty50 is based in the Roaring Fork Valley, with band members Dave Stoltzfus, Beth Getzen Stoltzfus, Dale Loper, Jerry Larsen and Tom Mercer. Their choice of music, which includes classic, modern and original rock, combined with vocal harmonies and instrumental energy have made this band a favorite at Music on the Mountain over the years.

Swire Coca-Cola, USA, which produces more than fifty of the world’s most recognized brands, is the sponsor of this concert. Swire representatives will be giving out samples of Coke Zero and Monster Ultra Zero, and tossing t-shirts and drink koozies out into the audience throughout the evening. One lucky guest will win a mini iPad during the second intermission. Must be present to win.

The Lookout Grille and Snack Shack will be open for dinner and refreshments, with $4 drink specials including glasses of wine, well drinks, Coors Lights and Coronas. Guests can enjoy the park’s rides and attractions during the events with a Funday Pass. Just $35 with the free tram ride, it includes both walking cave tours and unlimited access to the new Glenwood Canyon Flyer, the Alpine Coaster, the Giant Canyon Swing, the Cliffhanger Roller Coaster, the Mine Wheel, the Wild West Express Coaster, the Soaring Eagle Zip Ride, the 4D Motion Theater, the Laser Tag arena, the Ft. WhereAmI maze, the climbing wall and the Giddy Up! Western ride. The outdoor rides are open until dusk; the Laser Tag arena and 4D Motion Theater are open until the park closes.
