GJ TEEN CRITICAL AFTER ‘CAR SURFING’
Grand Junction—Two months after Rifle High School Senior Kyle Scholla was killed after falling from a moving car, another western Colorado teen is fighting for his life after a somewhat similar incident. Police in Grand Junction say a 19 year old man fell off the trunk of a car that was going nearly 40 miles an hour. The young man is in critical condition with head injuries. Police say unlike Scholla’s case, the incident in Grand Junction was a attempt at ‘car surfing.’ Authorities in Rifle determined that Scholla was sitting on the hood of the car when his friend pulled out of a parking spot in front of Wal Mart. The name of the young man in Grand Junction has not been released.
